About FPGA & Embedded Systems

Welcome to FPGA & Embedded Systems

FPGA & Embedded Systems is an independent technical website focused on FPGA technology, RISC-V processors, embedded systems, digital logic, computer architecture, Linux, and hardware development.

The website was originally associated with FPGA Marketing, an online store that offered FPGA development boards, RISC-V platforms, JTAG tools, RF hardware, expansion modules, and other electronic development products.

All products previously sold through FPGA Marketing have now been discontinued.

FPGA Marketing no longer manufactures hardware, maintains product inventory, accepts orders, processes payments, or ships products.

Today, this website has a new purpose: to preserve useful technical information and provide practical educational content for students, engineers, developers, makers, Linux users, and hardware enthusiasts.

Our Background

The original FPGA Marketing website supported hardware products developed or distributed by Fraser Innovation Inc., a Canadian technology company based in British Columbia.

Fraser Innovation previously worked in areas including:

  • FPGA development boards
  • RISC-V processor platforms
  • Embedded-system development
  • JTAG programming and debugging
  • RF and wireless communication
  • Digital logic design
  • PCB design
  • Linux-based development systems
  • Educational hardware and laboratory experiments
  • Computer architecture and processor design

The company also produced technical manuals, reference designs, software examples, schematics, experiments, and educational materials for its hardware products.

Although the hardware business has ended, much of the knowledge and technical experience behind those products remains valuable.

All Products Have Been Discontinued

All FPGA Marketing and Fraser Innovation hardware products have been discontinued.

We no longer:

  • Manufacture FPGA or embedded-system hardware
  • Sell development boards or accessories
  • Accept online orders
  • Maintain product inventory
  • Process customer payments
  • Provide shipping services
  • Offer OEM manufacturing services
  • Guarantee support for discontinued hardware

Any prices, promotions, stock information, purchase buttons, shipping statements, warranties, or delivery estimates found on archived pages should be considered outdated.

Legacy product pages may remain available for educational, historical, or technical-reference purposes.

Legacy Technical Resources

Some older manuals, schematics, tutorials, software examples, product descriptions, and reference materials may remain available on this website or on FraserInnovations.com.

These resources are preserved for:

  • Owners of legacy products
  • Students studying FPGA and embedded systems
  • Engineers maintaining older projects
  • Developers researching discontinued platforms
  • Educators seeking technical examples
  • Historical and educational reference

Because many of these materials relate to discontinued products, older operating systems, or previous versions of FPGA development tools, compatibility with current hardware and software cannot be guaranteed.

Users should verify all specifications, software versions, electrical requirements, and compatibility information before using legacy documentation in a current project.

Product Guides and Reviews

FPGA & Embedded Systems may also publish product comparisons, technical reviews, and buying guides for currently available products, including:

  • FPGA development boards
  • RISC-V development boards
  • Microcontroller platforms
  • Mini PCs and Linux computers
  • Storage and memory products
  • Networking equipment
  • Logic analyzers
  • Oscilloscopes
  • JTAG programmers
  • Electronic test equipment
  • Engineering tools
  • Technical books
  • Home-lab hardware

Our goal is not simply to list products.

We aim to explain:

  • What a product does
  • Who it is designed for
  • Its important specifications
  • Its advantages and limitations
  • Its hardware and software compatibility
  • How it compares with alternatives
  • Whether it is appropriate for a particular project

Affiliate Disclosure

Some pages on this website may contain affiliate links.

When a reader purchases a product through an affiliate link, FPGA & Embedded Systems may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader.

Affiliate commissions help support website hosting, research, technical writing, diagrams, testing, and the creation of free educational content.

Affiliate relationships do not determine our technical conclusions or recommendations. We aim to evaluate products according to their specifications, compatibility, intended use, practical value, and relevance to our audience.

Readers should always review current information from the manufacturer or retailer before making a purchase.

Our Mission

Modern computers are built from many layers of technology.

Transistors create logic gates.

Logic gates create registers, memory, and arithmetic circuits.

These circuits form CPUs, FPGA systems, embedded devices, servers, and complete computers.

Our mission is to explain these technologies clearly, accurately, and step by step.

We believe technical education should connect theory with real systems. A learner should not only know what an FPGA, CPU, register, or operating system is, but also understand how it works and how the individual parts connect.

FPGA & Embedded Systems exists to preserve useful technical knowledge, support practical learning, and help readers make informed hardware and software decisions.

Important Notice

FPGA & Embedded Systems is no longer an operating online hardware store.

Please do not attempt to place orders through archived product pages or send payments for discontinued products.

For current tutorials, technical resources, reviews, and product guides, please use the active pages and navigation menus on this website.
